High Desert Medical Group, (HDMG), is an affiliate of Heritage Provider Network—a recognized innovative leader in healthcare delivery networks in California for more than 30 years. Since our formation in 1982, HDMG has mirrored the reputation of our parent company by being at the forefront in providing residents of the Antelope Valley with the highest quality health care possible. With our newly relocated Heritage Health Care facility in East Palmdale, our full service HDMG-Acton clinic in Acton/Agua Dulce, and now a brand new state-of- the-art Senior Wellness Center located near our main facility in Lancaster, HDMG continues to offer a fresh perspective and sound solutions to health care challenges.

To bring our patients the personalized service of a neighborhood practitioner, with convenience and choice, HDMG formed partnerships throughout the Antelope Valley with independent physicians, known as California Desert Medical Group, to deliver a full range of services from their own private offices. Our partnerships are extended to local hospitals, medical experts and business leaders, as we continue to grow as the area’s most respected multi-specialty medical group.

Over the years, HDMG has gained experience and developed the resources and commitment to meet new medical challenges and the ever changing health care needs of the Antelope Valley. We proudly accept over 80 different health insurance plans, including HMO, PPO, POS, EPO, Private and Medicare plans. Our patients can choose from more than 40 Primary Care Physicians, as well as over 200 specialists.

HDMG’s clinical and administrative facilities in Lancaster are equipped with some of the finest diagnostic digital equipment, as well as a state-of-the-art electronic medical records system. Our new on-line service, “Your Doctor Connection”, provides patients with an easy-to-use internet portal to communicate with their physician, schedule appointments, request a prescription refill and more. We also provide superior patient convenience being planned and located in a single story facility with easy access to patient services and ample outdoor parking.

HDMG offers on-site 24 hour Urgent Care, Internal and Family Medicine, Lab, X-Ray, CVS Pharmacy, an Infusion Center and Oncology Department, and highly effective Caring for Life and Choices for Life programs that meet the needs of our chronically ill patients. We have a full service Occupational Medicine Center to meet the needs of local employers, and a Health Education Department providing up-to-date health information and classes. Our dedicated Research for Life Center is at the forefront of exploring new treatments for a variety of diseases. In addition, we provide our patients with a host of Specialty Clinics.

Planning for future growth in the number of seniors needing our services, HDMG opened a brand new Senior Wellness Center, located behind our main facility. HDMG Senior Wellness Center provides our senior patients with the best in innovative wellness programs and services, all free of charge, including a thorough one hour health exam and assessment in a relaxed environment. Workshops and activities are carefully designed to promote self-confidence, increased mobility and enhanced socialization to help our seniors stay healthier and live happier more complete lives.

Understanding our role as vital members of the communities we serve, HDMG actively supports numerous organizations, educational and cultural events. We also conduct several of our own annual health events including Life Festival and HDMG Senior Expo. Over twenty years ago, Dr. Richard Merkin, founder of the Heritage Provider Network, envisioned hosting a special event dedicated to promoting good health and well-being to the seniors in our area. HDMG Senior Expo continues to be a free to the public event, attracting over 5,000 attendees and offering over 100 vendor booths, free health screenings, free flu shots, live entertainment, Senior of the Year Award, and a special Celebrity Guest appearance.
