Diabetes Nutrition

Get in-depth information about healthy eating for people with diabetes. Subjects covered are carbohydrate counting, label reading, portion control, meal planning, recipe modification and dining out guidelines. Participants will learn how to better manage their blood sugars while continuing to include favorite foods.  This program is for people who have a basic understanding of carbohydrate counting.

The public is welcome to come into High Desert Medical Group, Conference Room 1, at any time between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. on the fourth Friday of the month to pick up free, up-to-date information.

Patients may be referred by a health care professional OR self refer to most classes.
