Homes For Veterans
At Saturday’s event, CEO Donna Deutchman accepted a $50,000 check from previous Homes4Families honoree, employees of The Boeing Co., and announced that High Desert Medical Group will be the 2021 Honoree at the non-profit group’s Annual Builders Ball to be held later this year.

Rhea Malik as the Class of 2018 Richard Merkin Fellow
Each year, one graduating college student is selected as a Merkin Fellow through the Schwarzman Scholars Program. The student chosen travels to China to pursue a one-year Master’s Degree. The experience promotes building relationships with other students from China and around the world to promote global collaboration that will help strengthen and inspire global relations for years to come.

The discussion will focus on how “technology has had a dramatically disruptive impact in medical research, perhaps most remarkably in genomics. Nearly two decades after the initial sequencing of the human genome, scientists are unlocking new ways to understand the cellular basis of disease through big data analysis, artificial intelligence and machine learning.” The discussion will explore the importance of future challenges – where we are now and where we need to go.
2nd Annual Heritage Healthcare Innovation Awards
The awards will showcase those innovators who have most improved the access to and quality of affordable healthcare in the communities they serve in the greater New York area. Judges will assess the nominations to select five finalists in each of the five categories.
