For well over 30 years Don V. Parazo, M.D. has dedicated his life to serving the healthcare needs of individuals as well as entire communities. Dr. Parazo's commitment to excellence in the practice of medicine is evident in his role as a Board Eligible Gerontologist and Board Certified Family Practitioner, as well as in the numerous leadership positions he holds both here at High Desert Medical Group and throughout Southern California.

In 1995, Dr. Anthony J. Dulgeroff joined High Desert Medical Group's team of highly qualified medical professionals. Throughout his history with HDMG, Dr. Dulgeroff has served in multiple leadership capacities, both clinical and administrative, developing innovative programs that put HDMG at the forefront of medical research and electronic medical records systems.

Michele Nelissen has been an integral part of High Desert Medical Group's leadership team for over twenty one years. She has been instrumental in moving two medical facilities into new locations. In 2012, Mrs. Nelissen was appointed Administrator of the Heritage California Accountable Care Organization – a program dedicated to “accountable care,” which ensures higher quality of patient care, efficiency, and additional support for Medicare Beneficiaries who use the traditional fee-for-service model.

Eric Oak has been an integral part of High Desert Medical Group's leadership for many years. Throughout his tenure with High Desert Medical Group, Dr. Oak has been pivotal in the development of the Disease Management Program, which are structured treatment plans to help reduce the symptoms associated with chronic disease and help patients manage their chronic condition and feel better. Working with UCLA, he and the HDMG team have developed a Respiratory Rehabilitation program, the first of its kind in the High Desert, marking High Desert Medical Group as the premiere Health Care Provider in the Antelope Valley. Currently, Dr. Oak oversees the Ambulatory Care departments of High Desert Medical Group including: Internal Medicine, Family Practice, Specialty, Disease Management and Education. He currently serves as Director of the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee for HDMG and the Clinical Pharmacy services department.

Michael Almazar is a veteran who served as a Combat Medic Sergeant and Practical Nurse in the United States Army. He completed his basic combat training at Fort Benning, Georgia, and his specialty training at Fort Sam Houston, Texas, and at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington D.C. Sergeant Almazar concluded his military career with a tour in Tikrit, Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2009 in which he was awarded the Army Commendation Medal.
